Portland calls itself Soccer City USA, and it isn’t marketing. The Timbers in MLS and the Thorns in the NWSL share Providence Park, right downtown, with one of the best atmospheres in the country. The Timbers won MLS Cup in 2015, the Thorns have several NWSL titles. It rains a lot. Nobody seems to care.
