One partner, or three?
Padel is played with four. Finding three people free on the same night is the real headache.
The good news: most games are nearly full. On Poteau, nearly 9 in 10 player-run padel games need 1 or 2 more people, not three. You're filling in a group that already exists.
Level comes first
If the game is way above or below you, nobody has fun. Level matters more than anything else.
On Poteau, a padel quiz gives you a level from 1 to 10. It shows on your profile, so others know who they're playing with.
Every player-run game shows the expected level. Two in three welcome levels 1 to 4. You also see who's signed up before you commit.
Left side or right side
In padel, each player keeps their side of the court. The left side usually goes to whoever smashes more. The right side, to whoever gets everything back.
Two players who both want the same side don't pair well. Say which one you play when you look for a regular partner.
Where to look
Your club. Many have a player group and open games in their booking app. Good if you always play at the same place.
Beginner tournaments. You enter as a pair. A good way to test a partner in a real game.

Where Poteau has padel
Poteau started in France. Most of its padel games are in and around Paris. The busiest clubs: Stadium Thiais, 4PADEL Argenteuil, 4PADEL Épinay, UrbanPadel Puteaux and UrbanPadel Porte d'Aubervilliers.
There are a few in Lyon, Lille and Marseille. Anywhere else, you can post your own game with the spots you need and the level you want. It shows up for players near you.

Show up 10 minutes early. Court time starts on the dot.
Bring a fresh can of balls. Always appreciated.
Can't make it? Say so early. With four players, one no-show throws everything off.
